Scandal Dainty pillars danced through the swampy lands. The little minx had been in quite the amount of trouble the day that her little... brother had been born. So much preparation had taken place in the months to welcome fathers, other child. Scandal still felt the tinge of jealousy as it continued to wrap around her like a snake, squeezing the very being from her. If she was a snake herself she would feel the venom dripping from her teeth wishing to take the life of everyone that took her attention away. A snort fell from her nostrils as she raised her skull to the sky. Chaos cried out above the silence letting Scandal know that she was not alone, chaos was gorgeous brown almost a bright chestnut, his wings black, and under his white with black bars, a black crown on top of his head, his eyes a bright golden color. A smile crossed her kissers as she continued to dance, the young princess had not seen her mother in a while and she missed her mother dearly.  The morning was turning out to be beautiful even in her swampy homelands. The birds in the trees chirped, and unique swamp creatures made themselves known as he little minx continued to move swiftly through the lands. The swampy land gave way underneath her daggers, the ground sounding like water slashing. She had decided to explore on her own today, knowing that her father had other things to deal with, she was trying her best to ... let go of her jealousy. The filly knew that she would always be special deep down, but at the same time it did not make the filly feel any better about the situation. Deep down she wanted to poke the third eye that her little brother possessed. She felt at ease to not have... one of those, but she was... plain.. up next to his bright colors that he had inherited from their father. The only thing she possessed was the orange swirls on her beautiful cheeks.  The year she had been on the earth earth had been good to the young minx. The filly was beautiful, age would be nice for her and she carried herself with enough dignity to be a beautiful mare and nothing would change that, not even her family. A L A S T O R

Awkward, this was the only way to describe how Alastor was managing to get his way around this world he now called home. His long pillars carried him with stumbles and tripped just about every three steps, though he now managed to save himself by scrambling his other daggers and holding himself up. For now, he stood in the shade from the heat that surrounded the terrain, the sun’s rays threatening to pierce through the canopy above. His mother stood grazing beside him, father was off… somewhere. The colt huffed and snorted, he was angry that he was here being protected by this minx, she was only good for the nourishment that she supplied him, and even that would come to an end sooner or later. Frustrated, the colt dug his dagger in the dirt and watched as the minx slowly took a half step forward and pondered how he would get away from her. Looking around with all three of his aqua orbs the colt found himself in a clearing of sorts within the swamps, and before him was an opening that lead to something else.

Turning her crown towards her son she crooned and admired his beauty, the markings were so loud and she admired how unique his third eye was. However she often worried that he was not comfortable nor wanted to be around her, and for this she blamed herself. However, she would not forsake her son and would offer him safety, nourishment and guidance. She would attempt to offer him the childhood she had, except guide him away from troubles, she would not keep from him what her parents did to her. Watching him look at the world around him, she could feel the urge he head to go and explore, and she admired his independent nature, she would not hold him down. Alastor… Her tones flowed through the air, they were curious and light.

Turning to look at his mother Alastor winced, he had attempted to be secret about his wondering mind but she never missed a thing. His tones were as low pitched and dark as his small foal form would allow, yes mother? he hid his tones as he looked at his mother and then away, what would she have to say? Surly such an innocent mare would be offended that he didn’t want to…

Why don’t you go and explore, just don’t wonder off too far now. She watched his reaction as his arch picked up and his orbs lit. She would never let him out of her sight for more than a second, but he didn’t have to know that. She nudged his rump in the direction of the opening and stood in her position awaiting him to depart from this area, she would soon fallow.

Excitement was an understatement at the news his mother would entrust him with exploring on his own at such a young age, however, he was grateful. As she nudged him the colt was hesitant at first, but moved in his awkward manner towards the opening, lowering his arch and walking forwards. Before him now were caves, caverns that offered shelter from the terrible weather that would weasel its way into the terrain and in front of them was a small filly that he indeed recognized as, Scandal. Taking a few steps towards her, he was silent, his movements flowed without making a noise for the first time in his life, and he stood, and waited. Not sure what to do now that he was here, with someone he was supposed to get along with.

Scandal The silence was still and unsurely calming; she did not speak as she looked at Chaos. The eagle hawk would always be beautiful to the flicka. A snort fell from her nostrils then and she heard it echo through the caverns. Scandal missed her mother something terrible, but was fighting through it one day her mother would return and she would be treated truly like the princess that she was, without a doubt. Light grey orbs shifted to the floor of the cavern, as a scent flashed through her nostrils and she turned her skull. The sight before her was her… little brother. A bit of anger flooded through her veins, as she watched him move closer to her. The young lass could not escape him, or… someone. The lass shook her dome lightly then, fighting the pure hatred that bubbled through her bodice. Scandal bit her lip then, keeping her words enclosed in her dun colored maw. She shifted her weight as her head returned to look farther in the cavern. Scandal wanted to poke his third eye and see if it would cause the regular two to flood. Scandal also knew that if she was extremely mean or rude to her little brother then her father would have her hide. She allowed her mind to shift through all that she could say to the little demon that shared her father, “Alastor? You mean your mother let you wander, alone? Such a… surprise.” She tried her best to make her words sweet. Pale dun banner shifted lightly against her dainty frame. She shook her skull and her daggers pressed forward, clinking against the rocky ground. She knew the mare would not be too far behind a move that many parents pulled, “if you want to be away from her you better follow, they are too big to fit in the smaller caverns. You are never. Alone it’s a process father and Aphrodite knows all too well.” She informed him for the first time being ... genuinely honest. She continued farther into the cavern unsure if he was following but not really caring either. The pastel wench in front of the young colt was silent as she realized she was being watched, though surely with the time she’s had on this earth she knew he was there well before making herself shift her weight around to face him. Wings fluttered above, the golden eyes watched him counting every breath surely ready to attack if there was a break out of battle. Her orange decorated façade turned her mouth clearly wanting to butt out some sort of comment but she kept it to herself. The cave behind her in which she was about to ender was dark and cold, the colt knew his mother was to be fallowing behind and surly would be cross if he thought of entering the dwelling, for who knew what creatures laid behind those cavern walls. The young filly turned her attention back to the cave, admiring it’s ominous dark being as he was, until she broke the silence with her young sounding tones a stain of hate threaded through them, but disguised nicely behind pleasantries. Alastor? You mean your mother let you wander, alone? Such a… surprise. Her tiny daggers advanced into the darkness until the sun’s light was no longer upon her pelt, the sound of her hooves kicking and disrupting the solitary pebbles echoed through the many mazes within the cave. If you want to be away from her you better follow, they are too big to fit in the smaller caverns. You are never. Alone it’s a process father and Aphrodite knows all too well.

Her tones made his orbs widen, he could truly be away from her? He took a few steps forward before pausing to look back, sure she was there but her head was down now, she was grazing on the grass that she seemed so reliant on, such a tiresome mare she would be fat soon then maybe father would leave her, then he could truly escape in her grief. Turning his head forwards again, he held it high with his chest out and his steps elegantly and slowly walking forward, double checking his steps and catching himself several times as his knees tripped up and tempted him to fall. After he caught up with the filly, it was as if he had been walking forever, the solid hard ground was much easier to tread upon than the muck of the marsh. I could get away whenever I wanted. I don’t need your help. While he knew the filly was trying with everything to be polite to the foal, he would not be taken for a fool, he knew she did not like him and he did not like anyone and he would not hide behind a curtain like she was – no matter the punishment. He walked onwards flicking his tail as he passed her, giving out a little snort as he took the lead.
