Equines that wish to join this band must fall into one of the three categories: Guard, Mercenary, or Assassin; there is no combination of the three
About Each Position:GUARD: they would be tasked with doing just that; guarding. They could be guarding a particular equine, an area of land, or something as simple as escorting individuals from one place to another. They do not kill unless it's absolutely necessary and work purely on the defensive.MERCENARIES: are the jack of all trades. They can be hired to do any number of things with little issue. Mercenaries must be prepared for any sort of job; be it kidnapping to being hired muscle for a transaction, or even something as ridiculous as posing as a friend or lover if that's what the job requires. They have less issue killing than Guards.ASSASSINS: are obviously hired to kill a specific mark. They are to get in and get out with as little issue as possible. 'Flamboyance is the mercs' job.' is often told to the new recruits. The assassins are quiet and efficient, simple as that. If a job goes awry, they must be ready and able to handle whatever situation they get themselves into.To clarify: Guards only guard, Mercs can be hired to do many things, and Assassins simply kill.If you're only interested in killing, be an assassin. If you're only interested in protecting, be a guard. If you have no issue doing whatever is thrown your way, be a merc.
Members must be serious about their position and willing to devote themselves to the path they're on. This isn't a one time deal. You're in the band, you should be prepared to put your work above all else.
You must be prepared to train rigorously to keep yourself in peak condition.
Slacking isn't tolerated. All in all, be prepared to do whatever you must to fulfill you contract.
HOWEVER, the repercussions of a mission should never extend beyond the one who carried out the contract. You make the terms of your own contract, YOU are responsible for the potential blowback of any job you take. You aren't to bring the issues back to the band. You must be at least stable enough to understand and carry out the terms of your contract without issue. Meta does not tolerate the excuse of 'insanity' as a reason for falling short on your part.
Any gender is allowed.
Age isn't an issue, but only those three and older will be allowed to make and accept contracts. Any being younger than three will be training under their desired path until they are of age to work.
Personal beliefs are just that; personal. Meta doesn't care what your beliefs are, just don't bring them to your work or cause problems.
Morality is of no issue, for one can reject or cancel a contract if they feel uncomfortable with the terms or job.
One of the most important requirements is professionalism. This band does not play around when it comes to their contracts. It does not matter who someone is or how angry, or crazy, or badass they are, they are to take what they do seriously or they'll be booted.
If one is not working on a contract, they can play around however they like, so long as it doesn't jeopardize the band or the others work.
Meta does not expect total deference. After all, this is a group of equine that are hired to do the dirty work, but when it comes down to it, they must be prepared to fall in line.
If push comes to shove, they are expected to stand as one and fight for the band.
Having competitions to see who's a better assassin, who has a bigger body count, etc. is fine. Confidence is fine. Arrogance isn't unexpected, but being obnoxious is unwelcome.
Everyone pulls their weight.
There are no ranks beyond 'Division Leader', 'Guard/Merc/Assassin', and 'Pupil'.Relationships within the band are permitted.
Foaling is permitted. It does not have to be from The Meta, nor do they need permission. The only stipulation is that the relationship does not interfere with the band's work.
Drama is not tolerated by any means. If someone has an issue, they will be expected to deal with it quickly and with finality.
Maturity is expected among every member. If the issue is too large to handle alone, then help can be requested of the others, so long as it does not hinder anothers work on a contract.
Some modicum of respect should be shared among members. That does not mean everyone must like each other, because that is highly unlikely to happen. What it means is that one should respect the work of the another and not work to ruin someone else's contract.
Intentionally hindering or ruining the work of another will not be tolerated by any means. Rivalries are acceptable, but sabotage is not.
