Spring, ah yes the most magical time of the year. My most favorite season, by far. Spring usually brought with it the gift of life. The still slightly chilly rain caused the flowers to blossom after a long furocious winter.. The blades of grass seemed to get more vibrant, and even seemed to possess a better flavor upon my taste buds... And yes, with the good must come the bad. The fearless carnivores seemed to awaken from their deepened slumber around this time, so one must be cautious at all times.... The only thing was, this Spring seemed to be different from the rest. As if it were a late bloomer, perhaps? Snow still scarcely covered the lands, the lush grass not yet meeting its full potential. Even the air still seemed to have a bit of a nippy feel to it. Was the end of the world on its way? Sure seemed like it. I believe perhaps our planet is out of wack, unalligned in some odd manner. Of course, I still dread the worst.... If I didn't, well then that just wouldn't be me now would it?
Boney appendages carried my rather petite yet slightly stocky canvas through the forest. The smell of oak mingling its way into velveteen nostrils as I inhaled the fresh air deeply, only to puff out that cloud of carbondioxide. This evening seemed colder then the ones a couple days ago, it sent a chill down my spine as I continued to move, occassionally having to lift my pillars a little higher here and there to avoid the roots that sprouted from the earth. Twin towers remained alert for any vistors that may be following close behind... Although as of now I heard no signs of anyone.. Just me, merrily moving on my way.... Alone.
Pale orbs shifted to the heavens, and although it was still daylight out the moon had already took its place in the sky. I could see it staring down at me between the tree tops. The sun slowly sinking down to put itself to bed for the night... Night, lord did I hate the night hours! That's when all the creepy crawlers seemed to come out to rid themselves of the boredom that suffocated them. I for one didn't wish to become a play toy for one those monsters. In a low whisper I spoke to myself.
"I do believe it's time to find a suitable place to rest..."
I couldn't explain it, but for some reason just simply speaking to myself to break through the silence that enveloped me always made me feel just a tad better. As if I was accompanied by another. At least I wasn't having full on conversations, right? Now, where was I? Ah yes! Time to find some cover for the night... Pillars stopped their motion as my own pale orbs searched the tree lines, perhaps if I were to be so lucky there would be a cave somewhere in these where a bouts.
