----- Naberius -----
tag: Δ Beauty With The Booty // words: 435 // notes: for a starter i guess it's fine
Given everything he had been through the last year or so, maybe it wasn't quite a year, Naberius had yet to succumb to the grief and loss weighing heavy on his shoulders or by the looks of it, it would be a long time until he would if he ever did. Losing everything did teach him not to become too close to someone which he had originally drilled into his own mind a while back, but how was he to know that Loma would end up worming her way under his hard exterior? He's learned his lesson and swore it would never happen again.
His thoughts, while many, didn't prevent him from becoming aware of his surroundings. which each step he made that brought him closer to this dark part of the island, he became more and more aware of everything around him. He kept his exterior cool and calm. Even on the inside, he wasn't too worked up. This new land was sure to have many different predators, much like Krymenos who had developed mutated versions of the softer predators outside of it's realm, but that didn't make them any less dangerous or give Naberius cause to relax any further than he already was.
The stallion's tail twitched as if it had a mind of it's own, much like a feline. There was a natural arch in his neck, he always held his head proud despite how far he had fallen. There was no indication of shame or embarrassment etched on the broad, muscular form of the beast that now walked into the borders of the strange land that had drawn him in upon first entering this new world. The stallion came to a halt and looked around, lifting his crown, pushing his harks forward as he searched for any indication of life in this dead land. Mayhap no one existed this far out. Were that to be true, the land held promise of a life he could build for himself and a fresh start to a life he thought had been over just months prior.
Had he known this land was claimed as another's, he may have taken more precaution and presented himself with more grace than just stumbling upon a land that Mother Nature had seemed to forget in her time creating and molding a world that she would be proud of. Maybe this was the land that misfits had called home and thus thought it fit to leave it a sharp contrast against the life of the forest that loomed behind him in the distance.
Maybe home was just on the horizon.
