Blackened quills shifted lightly in the cool wind that washed over Sanguis as the small filly stood silent in the meadow. Her father stood beside her, his presence alarmingly silent. Wraith was a stoic creature, and one that didn't find the need to speak unless it was required of him. The mare he had bred with seasons ago had finally bore his young, a set of triplets. The smallest daughter, Propaganda, was his favorite, though he'd never speak a word of it to anyone, not even her. Her feathers were growing from her shoulders, an odd deformity that the azure-stained hessian had never seen before, even in these strange lands, littered with monsters. The roaned filly's duo-toned occulars stared wide and blankly at her father, his towering form an inspiration to her. He was big and strong, and she wanted to be big and strong too. "Father," the filly asked timidly, her trilling tone bright and warm, "Where did the others go?" She wasn't truly all that interested in the whereabouts of her siblings and dam, but she wanted to hear her father's deep and powerful voice.

Wraith didn't move hardly at all at his daughter's sudden words, only twisting an ear in her direction. The blue stag exhaled slowly. Who knows? Probably on the beach. He looked to his daughter then, pale voids looking over her flashy markings and colors, her feathered adornments, her white mask. Would you care to join them? Propaganda, her reddened pelt looking picturesquely vivid in the afternoon sun, gave her father a bright smile, the comforting sound of his voice filling her brain. "No," she said, a bright giddiness to her small voice, "I'd rather stay here with you." The fiery-pelted bird's speckled hide moved close to her father then, her feathered shoulders brushing up against his legs. Wraith's auds flattened against his poll at the sudden sensation and his hueless voids glared down at the small filly as she nuzzled up against him. This was uncomfortable and strange, but Wraith kept his cool. Propaganda wanted to tell her father something then, but she wasn't sure if she should. Nuzzling her father felt like nuzzling a rock, but she didn't care. She loved him.
