Hey everyone! So the most basic way to do a template in V5 as far as I know is to have ONE SOLID BACKGROUND IMAGE and a bunch of divs to format where you want your text. I'm going to go through the steps you guys will want to take if you use this method, and there's no need to credit me for any of this.
1. Copy and paste the template code somewhere duh
2. find the part in the code that says: "background-image:url(http://placehold.it/600x800);" and replace that url with your image. If you want it to stay 600x800, make sure the image you're putting there is 600x800. If you want it to be a different size, follow the next step.
2b. To make this template into a different size, you're going to have to edit some numbers. Right before where you insert the background image url, there's an area that says: "width:600px;height:800px;" - simply change those numbers to the width and height you'd like. I encourage you that if you're going to do this that you have at least some basic coding knowledge, otherwise this will be very frustrating for you. You will need to then edit the rest of the numbers in the code so everything lines up the way it should. I recommend adding to/subtracting from the width and height of the inner text box div (find where the code says: "width:400px;height:505px;") by the same amount that you increased/decreased the other numbers. So for example, if you wanted to make your table a 500x500 square instead of 600x800, you would need to first change the 600x800 to 500x500, and then change the 400x505 to 300x205. I encourage you to make your text box even shorter if you're doing a square so the footer area with the word count, tagged, and muse doesn't go flying off the bottom outside of the background image. You'll have to mess with the height of your scrolling text area (what would be the 300x205) until you get it to look the way you want.
3. Then simply modify the text colors to your liking, as well as adding any other ubbc that you might want. Everyone should know how to do this, lol.
And that's about it! It should be as simple as replacing the image and changing your text colors. Please note that by default, the empty space allotted for the background to have a header and footer is 155px for the header and 55px for the footer, so when you're making your solid background image, unless you want to change the height and positioning of everything else, try to make sure your imagery ends at the proper places so it doesn't run over the text.
Hopefully that helps you guys with making tables! I'm always available via PM for questions and help on this. Enjoy!
