The morning air was crisp, almost clean. The rays from the sun seemed to burn those underneath, but the wind made everything alright. A bird called out for its mate in the distance, and Syn growled at the thought of it. Syndicate followed behind his pale colored daughter as she ventured forth. Crimson dagger collided with the soft dirt that fell into his way. Tawny browns followed Scandal, she moved delicately not a dagger unplaced, much like her mother. She was perfect as well as far as the oddly colored stag was concerned. She would always be, perfect. He took a deep breath then as the other bird answered the call of its mate. Visionaries narrowed then as he watched ever so closely a red bird flew over their heads in the direction of the original call. A chirp from Tribe brought him back to Earth he had been clearly lost in the birds. Scandal stopped and his own daggers ceased and she turned around almost on a dime. “What’s got you so huffy and puffy this morning Pappaa?” She questioned her ears flickered back and forth. He looked into her light grey orbs unsure wither or not he could lie to his child.
Syndicate shifted his weight then, “Nothing Scandal, nothing.” He said knowing very well she would not let it go. “is it mother?” She questioned then. “No, why would you ask that?” He questioned unsure what brought her mind to that conclusion. “its just you two never spend any time together.” She said, he paused then knowing scandal would never let anything get past her. “our deal was to have you, nothing more.” He said, Lashiel was a wonderful minx in his eyes, but they were never meant to be. Strange looks overcome his child’s face and he chuckled. “lets move along, my mind is not something you want to try and crack, your outing will be ruined.” He informed her then. Scandal narrowed her eyes the dark orange moving up a little in the process, this was undeniable proof that she was his child. She nodded though and turned around again and started to move. Tribe left his side and followed beside scandal. She laughed and tried to out run him, he snorted as they took off Syn was fine until he could no longer see the two. He released a call for them to come back.
His spotted pillars ran through the forest weaving through the trees. He spotted them then keeping himself calm then. "Do not do that... not why we are not home. Even with Tribe at your side." He growled lightly. she smiled then "at least I won!" she said with a grin and tribe shook his little skull. Syn chuckled, the land was quiet the birds no longer chirping. Scandal yawned and lowered herself to the sod Tribe curled next to each other. The stallion studied the the terrain making sure it was safe. He sighed lightly but knew he needed to wait for her to regain her strength before he moved on. The trees moved back and forth as the breeze picked up. Spring was a time of new, old seemed to wash away for most. The Stag watched his child, it was new.. it was a new life for the odd cremello stag. He studied his gorgeous silver smoky dun daughter. She had her mothers light grey visionaries, her mane the same color as her dun markings. The one true thing she had from him was the dark orange swirls on her face.
Syndicate was lost as he studied her, she was the only thing that mattered to him in this life time. Crimson daggers moved back and forth through the dirt a light cloud of dust made itself known the more she moved. He paused then the sound of another caught his attention and his listeners flickered back and forth as he tried to pin point the visitor.

. . .A P H R O D I T E. . .
crying out for 'coup de grace'
See where you got yourself now, Aphrodite? Dark tones rang through her mind, never leaving her alone it seemed for the winter months and now into the warmer spring months. Aphrodite was back to her normal form, her body sleek and filled with muscle from her constant attempts at running form the voices that tormented her but never succeeding. She had been fleeing from this voice for months now, avoiding successfully all contact with other living beings up until this point. Loneliness fed the depression that swallowed her whole, forced her body deep into a lake but her instincts always saving her from the monsters that resided within. Now all she could hear anymore was the voice of betrayal, everything else, the sounds of birds, calls of others, sounds of the waters and grasses whispering in the wind, they were all background.
Aphrodite was now attempting to escape the month’s long stay within Serpent’s Sanctuary feeling that there was no reason to stay especially with losing contact with her former friend Syndicate. She often wondered where he was, and what she did to upset him so; she never had experienced anything like what had happened between the two. She didn’t understand what made him explode as he had and even in contemplating it in her mind over and over until it was drown out by Sinister she never found closure. Now, the once proud mare’s boa was low, her crown below her whither orbs slightly slit not really paying attention to where she wondered just avoiding running into any large objects.
Mush of the marsh turned into stone and as her thoughts drifted onwards so did her movements, the stone turned to lush grass and trees became more frequent. Now more aware of her surroundings, she arched her boa, her mouth dry she began her search for water to quench her thirst. Twin-peaks caught the sound of trickling streams in the near distance, and with peaks pinned back the mare advanced onwards, in no time the rocky beds came into view, the crisp clear liquids steadily streaming and trickling over larger and smaller rocks in a rhythm no one could decipher. Lowering her kissers the mare parted them and began to suck up the refreshing spring water, and suddenly her crown jerked up and body tensed.
Do not do that... not why we are not home. Even with Tribe at your side. She knew the voice, and had longed to hear it, it was a low growl but not one of anger but one that was terrified. Aphrodite’s memory flashed back to the last time they met, her orbs scanning the terrain advancing onwards to where his voice came from. at least I won!" Then the duo came into her view, a genuine smile cracked through a dark and lingering pain. She stayed hidden at least until the young one and Tribe, the small fox, had curled up and fallen asleep. Watching them for a while the mare contemplated on how to approach her former friend, only to be interrupted by Sinister’s dark and impending tones. He’d never accept you. Not after what you did. Worthless piece of shit. Her step forward was paused as it crunched a fallen brown leaf, just as she decided to turn around, after all he was right, he’d never want to see her again. Withdrawing her dagger the mare turned her head and shoulders in the opposite direction to leave as she had come hoping that she was undetected; part of her wanting to hear a call out for her, to be wanted.

Syndicate
The cremello stags listeners flickered again back and forth. A snort fell from his nostrils and he moved, the sound of a crunching leaf alerted him. Tribe moved jumping up and at that moment he awoke Scandal. Light grey orbs flickered open and she moved to her fathers side. The scent was one that the stag knew too well, had she followed him? He questioned he had told her to leave, she didn't want to stay with him. Syn had allowed himself to care and it was ripped out from under him. He was not one to let things go, but he had let her go along with most of his emotions. Scandal was the only one who received any type of love. He debated on calling to her, but his voice was lost to him. Scandal however would not let it go, she jumped up and moved towards the sound. A call escaped her lips before her father could stop her. "HEYY!!" She screamed. "Come back here!" The young ess screeched and almost commanded. Syndicate snorted then and Scandal turned around to glare at him. She shifted her pillars then in the direction of the other equine. Scandal was interested to meet someone besides her family in serpent's sanctuary.
She moved gracefully through the treeline, towards the other. The mare was a paint, someone she had never seen before. "Hello, I'm Scandal!" She introduced herself rather quickly as she placed herself in front of the mare. Light grey orbs moved to her father then, "And this is.." She was cut off by her father. "I know who she is." He said his voice cold. She pressed her ears to her skull then, "RUDE!" The filly said rather loudly. This caught the young one's attention and she wondered if it had something to do with her fathers bad attitude. Syndicate watched his daughter with Aphrodite and he felt a little on edge. He did not know what to do. "Hello Aphrodite." the stag said then his bitterness a little less this time. Tawny brown with orange and red visionaries looked down at tribe for a moment. Tribe moved then he moved to Scandal and turned his skull to the side as he looked at aph. He chirped his tail shifting back and forth. Tribe then nipped at scandals ankles for a moment. The little filly lowered her dome and nipped back but side stepped. There was no way that she was letting this mare get away before she knew how her father knew her. Aphrodite, was her name it seemed and even tripped knew her. pale dun banner flickered back and forth as she studied her father and narrowed her eyes, "How? Explain!" She demanded. Syn narrowed his own orbs for a moment, "What scandal? We were .. friends once. But, i do not owe you any explanations child. She did not want to stay with me so i did not make her." He said as simple as that.
She snorted loudly at her father but turned his attention back to the mare at hand. "He's rude! isn't he?" She questioned. Syn snarled he had been nothing but nice to the minx. He gave her a place to sleep and helped her get back into health when he could have left her to fight off the forces and she would have perished during the winter this the stallion knew. She did not want to stay and he freed her, told her to go. Syn knew he might have acted more harsh, but she had hurt his pride and in that he did not want a constant reminder of his failure to have someone want to stay with him. She was his child that was for sure, never allowing anything to get through. "Why do you have to be so much like me?" He chuckled and shook his dome, for a moment forgetting his anger.

crying out for 'coup de grace'
Her mind was fading into black, like the lipid she submerged herself in the last time she had contact with the stallion, it filled every corner and even attempted to tunnel her vision. Her thoughts were on the stallion and the mercy he had shown her - more than she ever could have asked for, she wasn't sure where she went wrong or what she did and didn't deserve to find out in her mind. It was just something that she ended up fucking over and it would remain just that, there would be no mending the trouble she had sewn. Her weight shifted as her daggers paced quickly in the opposite direction, she longed to make contact with him, but she did not deserve it and there for would just walk away.
Before she could make it very far, the crunching of leaves and of something booming into life sounded from behind her tunnel vision lifted she froze in her tracks; HEYY!! Come back here! The mare shook her cranium, surly she would not stop and listen to such a young screeching voice, but in fact she had and she was suck without an option to do anything else. Maternal instincts forced her weight to yet again shift her weight to face the direction of the young foal that had directed her attention towards the mare, she turned around to be greeted by an orange streaked face, orbs bright and wondrous towards whom the mare was exactly. Syndicate was right behind his little filly confliction clearly painted on his face, the mare’s twin peaks dug into her skull once their orbs met, her ivories bared down shut tight. Hello, I'm Scandal! the mare’s guard was let down as her orbs followed down to the filly’s grey orbs And this is… the mare felt uneasy, standing speechless that damn leaf crackle had alerted a tiny detective that would create for an awkward conversation between former acquaintances, though the thought wasn’t all daunting to the painted mare. I know who she is. cold growls the mare could feel pierce into her veins, freezing her blood with a tainted hate RUDE! Mare’s crown held level to the ground and her boa arched below his, her orbs never left his Hello Aphrodite. her boa stood up more straight now as he spoke her name with some sort of feeling behind it she could tell he didn’t want to be in this situation either, her kissers parted meek and quiet tones left from behind her ivory pinchers I..I’m so..sorry, I should go she meant her words but her frame couldn’t move away from the small filly How? Explain! the mare shifted her weight and turned her attention yet again to Syn What Scandal? We were… friends once. But, I do not owe you any explanations child. She did not want to stay with me so I did not make her. There we no emotions of loss or regret behind his words, all of a sudden the mare’s orbs narrowed at him, what was he talking about?
A loud snort was given from the filly, He’s rude! Isn’t he? Her mug gave a crooked look to the young filly and suddenly she found her voice, as she lowered her mug to the young one No dear, he’s just confused; he needs you to straighten him out. It is good to meet you Scandal. Your father has good intentions, just gets lost. She raised her boa once again and watched the stallion, wishing they were on good terms again. Realizing that she had yet to say anything to Tribe she turned her attention to the little fox Hello Tribe her voice warm towards the small creature, she still didn’t understand the relationship between herself and tribe but he had done nothing towards the mare negative and she would not ignore him.

Aphrodite was just as on edge as the cremello brute had made himself. He could not walk away, not with Scandal here.. she would not let him. He was stuck, glued to the sod as long as his daughter saw fit for she would not leave until she was satisfied. The stag found himself cursing it for letting her be so bold and not making her mind more, but he didnt want to anger the little flicka she was .. his everything. The painted ess apologized attempting to leave and for a split second he was revealed, but Scandals presence was one not easily left. She had called him rude and he snorted at her fighting the urge to put his child in her place, but she was far too much like her mother and himself for that. The two seemed to get along and he felt himself smiling on the inside but unfazed on the outside. She narrowed her eyes as he explained the situation behind his side as if in a way she did not understand his statement.
She finally spoke once more to his daughter, his listeners flickered listening to everything that spilled from her maw. "No, i'm not confused hesitation is enough to justify a no. I was not going to beg you to stay with me, I was not going to be a great regret down the line. We all have our standards Aphrodite and I draw mine at hesitation and regret." He snorted his words not cold but hard. She spoke to tribe and he chirped wagging his tail for a moment, before stopping and looking back and forth between everyone. "SOO, its your fault hes been so.. huffy and puffy?" scandal questioned the mare with a confused look on her fascade. "And your huffy and puffy over hesitation?" She snorted at him. "Adults are so weird Tribe!" She said then.
Syn narrowed his orbs at his daughter and she stuck her tongue out at him. Picking at her father knowing it would help lighten his mood. "Chill paaapaaa!" She screeched at him. "Stop huffing and puffing," She chuckled then, a grin on her pink lips. This made sense to the young ess but she would not let it go, especially if she had a chance to lighten his horrible mood lately. The young ess moved like the fog that covered their land as she moved over to her father, nipping at his spotted legs to make him smile. His eyes watched his child as she spoke, the little filly would be good at questioning others by the time this was over. Scandal told him to chill as well as not be huffy and puffy while laughing before moving to him and nipping at him he smiled lightly but quickly stomped his dagger making her take a step back. The flicka turned her cranium to the side gently and moved back towards the older minx and trotted gracefully back towards her. Syn snorted and lowered his dome knowing that he had lost.. at least for right now.
A large grin made its way to her lips and her light grey orbs bright. She would be the only one to get her father to in a way bow down. She motioned towards the minx to lower her skull to her level so that she could speak to her, "i am the only one that can do that." She whispered a light giggle fell from her lips. The birds began to chirp again after a long silence. The wind picked up as well and blew through the lands the stages light blue banner blowing in the breeze as he raised his skull back to its original place. Regret a word he used to describe who he did not want to be tasted bitter on the stallions lips as his mind race, placing everything and unsure how to ... change the situation.

crying out for 'coup de grace'
You really think this little filly things anything of you? the dark voice chuckled in her head trying to convince her that everything is still lost this means nothing she was worthless. The voice was ever persistent and seemed to go on and on about how Aphrodite would never amount to anything other than what she was, a murder and abandoner she was no better than Judas. She led her family to death by being who she was, adventurous and always wanting to help others even if it was to put her own parents at deaths door. In older age Aphrodite was beginning to get back to that self, but was hindered by the hidden voices of Sinister that crept in the darkest corners in her mind only making his appearance when he had the advantage and now he was beginning to really start to annoy her. Irritated at what her head was being told, she tossed her crown side to side a couple of times closing her orbs and then opening them suddenly watching the others who’s attention was on each other.
No, i'm not confused hesitation is enough to justify a no. I was not going to beg you to stay with me, I was not going to be a great regret down the line. We all have our standards Aphrodite and I draw mine at hesitation and regret. Bearing down on her pinchers she kept her mouth closed as to not remark on what he was saying, he didn’t know why she said what she did and he didn’t ask she wouldn’t tell him because clearly he didn’t want to know and didn’t care. However she did have standards too, and when he mentioned that he had standards she took offence, heated she interrupted him Are you suggesting that I have no standards? her tones were heated which was not in normal Aphrodite fashion and shortly after she spoke them she regretted it, the voice in her head cussing her out and taunting her. As the filly spoke she realized that the stallion had not just walked away from the mare but had not let go the fact that she said what she had and didn’t out right say yes like he had wanted. Aph watched as his fearless daughter told him to stop and cool down, she was in control of the brute and it was charming to Aphrodite even if this was the last time she wanted to have a run in with the duo she enjoyed watching the take charge filly. Lowering her boa upon request she listened to the whispers i am the only one that can do that. Aphrodite snickered at her and then looked back up at the stallion with a soured look on her face. Syn, you will never understand why anything happens because you are not willing to ask questions or to listen. The world isn’t handed to you one hundred percent of the time. But you’ll never understand that. In her eyes he was spoiled, or he wanted to be. Growing up the mare had been spoiled but within her good nature she hadn’t allowed it to go to her head and ruin her for life, the incident had helped keep her knocked down a step also. She pawed at the ground and glared at him, pawing at the pine needles and leaves awaiting for his response she stood in silence.

He watched the two for a moment as the anger bubbled in Aphrodite. She spoke then as if he said she had none. He shook his head at her "No, i said we all have OUR own standards. I told you mine." He said managing to keep himself as calm as possible around his daughter. He watched them for a moment longer, the mare found her loop hole to speak as she felt. Scandal backed away as the mare's attitude changed, and Syn moved forward he snarled debating on attacking her as he should have done when they first met. "I've never had everything handed to me Aphrodite you do not know my history either. You had a year to share your history with me, but you did not want to. I didnt push you. I gave you somewhere to live, i did not treat you like shit. You think i'm soo bad because i didnt listen, no i would have listened all long but you hid away. I could have left you for dead the day i met you and let you starve to death or let the animals finish you off." He said then as his eyes stared into hers.
His emotions so flustered that he was having a hard time controlling his anger. "No, princess i was not prince i was nothing. I do not pretend to be anyone and never have." He growled. "Was it so bad to ask you to stay with me? Was i that awful? I could have made true on what i wanted but i let you go." His eyes narrowed then as he stared into her blue eyes. "So if you want to hear I'm sorry .. There i'm sorry for not pushing you and making you relive your past." His entire frame was shaking at this point and he didn't know what to do. His teeth grinded together, she was lucky he had something to keep him sane. Syn blinked then and forced his frame to calm. Anger still bubbling with in he took a step back and his eyes moved to scandal as her mouth remained open as if she was in shock. "Don't you start." He said the first time commanding her to keep her mouth shut.
The brutes anger was not seen too often and for him to speak this much at once was amazing. He had scars from his time with his father and aunt and uncle. He was not perfect, then again he had never pretended to be for he did not want to be perfect it was over rated. Scandal looked down at tribe then his eyes were closed he had been the reason Syn did not ask questions. He pushed him away and in that moment he had protected his heart. Syn had hidden it deep within himself so that no one could see his feelings. so that they could not be broken and he would not feel the pain of hurt or the remorse if he had harmed her after he had cared.
The filly's limbs danced back and forth as she started to freak out from how her fathers anger was getting to him. She had never seen him angry just a bit flustered and bitter. Anger was a different side of him, and his more recent past had came to light. So father cared about her? And for him to get this angry he ... secretly loved her? She found herself questioning everything, that would explain his emotions. She paced back and forth thinking to herself continuously on the edge unsure what to do.

crying out for 'coup de grace'
Her whipcords slashed the warm spring air in annoyance, she knew she was right but he would never admit it and that irritated her more than anything. He was so bullheaded and didn’t want to admit the truth because it meant he was wrong, even if he could potentially be happy by just saying ‘you’re right’ he never would; such a stallion thing to do. She turned her way to the filly watching her be reluctant to leave her side which was odd to the mare and made things even more awkward between the two adults, mostly because the filly was Syndicate’s entire world and right now she was standing beside the one equine he never wanted to see again. Part of her whished the filly was not so much like her dad and would just leave things alone, but another part was happy that she actually had contact with other living beings, and the only one she really wanted contact with. She stood watching the filly defying her father and rolled her orbs when she nor Syn were looking, he was going to have trouble raising this one and probably any foal that he sired.
She watched the brute and then her twin peaks perked as he began to speak No, i said we all have OUR own standards. I told you mine. His tones were a growl, she should have kept her mouth shut and never spoke out of term, she was nothing more than a rock or a falling leaf to him. I've never had everything handed to me Aphrodite you do not know my history either. You had a year to share your history with me, but you did not want to. I didnt push you. I gave you somewhere to live, i did not treat you like shit. You think i'm soo bad because i didnt listen, no i would have listened all long but you hid away. I could have left you for dead the day i met you and let you starve to death or let the animals finish you off. The mare’s teeth were now bared and her lips open so they would show, she was steaming as he spoke. He claimed that she had a year to tell him her history but why would she do that? She was taken in on the hopes that he would get something out of her, he never told her what never asked her to do anything only fantasized about having this kid that he now had and he still was not happy. Sure he had never had anything handed to him, but he trotted around like he had the entire world at his command, he always seemed so happy. No, princess i was not prince i was nothing. I do not pretend to be anyone and never have. Was it so bad to ask you to stay with me? Was i that awful? I could have made true on what i wanted but i let you go.So if you want to hear I'm sorry .. There i'm sorry for not pushing you and making you relive your past. At last the mare forced tones out of her lips, they were harsh and low in tone You wanted Laschel, you got her. she motioned her mug at the small frightened filly. You were so fuckin’ bubbly and happy talking about her both before she was conceived and after. Then you asked ME to stay with you? Without anything else, just with you. She gave a small frustrated growl You know nothing of my past Syndicate. I wish you would have let the animals kill me, then these voices in my head would stop telling me to do unspeakable things no normal living thing would do.
She fell short of breath and watched the stallion, her entire body tensed up and daggers standing in dug up ground she had been tearing up without even knowing what she was doing. Her weight shifted as her whipcords flung into life, slapping and lashing out at her sides. Her body was smoothed out, muscle had taken form again and she no longer needed protection, how she was acting now towards this stallion, in front of a foal, was an extreme change from who she had ever been. She parted her lips, tense and anger fumed out with her tones, Clearly you have what you want. She heaved another breath once more referencing the filly, thinking that he and her mother must still be together being so young. She slashed the air with her cords again and glared at the brute. He would have a tough time changing her mind or convincing her of what ‘he really wanted’ going about how he was, and she wasn’t looking to read between the lines. She now was waiting for a good time to exit. She never wanted to hurt him or his mate or their child, that’s why she declined. She would end up hurting them like she had her parents and entire foaling herd, lead them to the slaughter like a bunch of kids, that’s what she was; he should have left her to die. But he’d never know that.

His mind was lost in the darkness it was like he was not there. He was gone he had left blanked out from the world and vanished into a deep hole lost for the rest of eternity. A faint heart beat was there lost within the darkness and it was the only thing that kept him from vanishing all together. Syn's mind was lost to his training as a child, his aunt the only one caring for him, his father and uncle pushing him making him not care. Pushing him to the edge of darkness where he was not sure anyone else exsisted, Maim was the one and only one that helped with his problems. Sky blue banner was faintly against his side moving back and forth. it was like the life had left his body, even with his heart still beating.
She spoke and he faintly heard her words making them known as they moved through his mind. Making themselves at home as they rested in his brain. She was jealous of his child, of lashiel. How had he not seen it? Yes he had been focused, but everyone has their needs. Syn cared for her like a friend, a trusted friend who gave him a position his child a reason to live. He kept his mind clear gone to hear her words. She had voices? he questioned himself and it made sense about how she acted from time to time. She fell short of breath and he could hear her breathing shallow lost. "I do not regret my daughter and how i came to get her. I will NEVER regret my child. Jealousy is not pretty on you aphrodite. If i had all i wanted i would have just completely ignored you. I would have left you alone and never looked again." He said his words calm as his body came back from where it had been lost too. "I wanted you.. I wanted you to stay.. I wanted you to care and look at me as more then someone you OWED a favor." He bit his lip as he tried to fight his feelings. "I care for Lashiel as a friend, we agreed to have Scandal nothing more. There will never be nothing more." His words oddly calm then as he watched her.
"ohhh he loves you!" the young minx spoke almost quietly. She managed to say before the stag looked at her. "I'm sorry dad, but you know if it was anyone else you wouldnt have asked them such a thing or after this time get into it." She said and lowered her skull as tribe moved to her. Syn looked away from them both then as he vanished into his void once more. "but... we can leave if you want us to miss aphrodite." She said politely her light grey orbs moved up to the minx. Tribe turned to look at them as well moving protectively in front of the flicka. Scandal knew she didnt need protecting though so she moved to her father then her skull looking up to him then. "Dad?" She called to him but he didnt respond. He was lost in his mind and had no way to break free, at least not right at the moment. Scandal's face pressed together and she turned to Tribe, "I think... i broke dad." The fox turned his cranium to the side and sat down. Tribe had a feeling it was going to be a while before Syn was broken from his trance so he got comfortable. "This is all my fault" The little filly said to no one in general. She took a deep breath then unsure how to move from here.

Anger that raged through her veins could nearly be seen as steam and heat that rose off of her light pelt. She would never be able to understand how he could be so upset about nothing, she didn’t decline him she just never understood what he wanted from her because he didn’t explain. She didn’t see how telling this to him now would change anything, however, so she kept her blood cold in anger of how the brute was acting. Her past was that of dark corners and would never be put to rest, not even if she had said yes right off the bat and entered into an unknown future. She would be forever in the shadow of the single person she gave herself to fully and ended up being her worst nightmare. He felt no remorse for her even after the bond the two had forged through all the years, and this left her empty and confused. How could one fake a friendship for years? Never slipping up once. And how could her suspecting parents not say anything to her about it? It was like she was against the world.
Comfortable breezes drifted around her frame, for a moment she closed her orbs and just took a second to breathe and all was at peace. But the instant that he began to speak again she was slapped with the reality that was him, her orbs opened instantly filled with blind anger. I do not regret my daughter and how i came to get her. I will NEVER regret my child. Jealousy is not pretty on you aphrodite. If i had all i wanted i would have just completely ignored you. I would have left you alone and never looked again. Tensed frame loosened up as she took his words in, she could find no reason through his words to be mad, another slap of reality – Jealousy. Yes the green eyed monster, but it was not over Scandal, the little doll she slightly adored the little filly and her bravery. No, if she was jealous over anything it was the child’s mother. I wanted you.. I wanted you to stay.. I wanted you to care and look at me as more then someone you OWED a favor. The mare’s orbs opened wide and jaw felt like it would fall open but she kept control of it and kept it closed, she was stunned, wanted to speak but couldn’t. I care for Lashiel as a friend, we agreed to have Scandal nothing more. There will never be nothing more. If her cheeks could turn red they would be the color of a fire, Lashiel was his friend, not his mate or his love as she had thought. At this point the filly was in the back of her mind and the mare lowered her crown below Syndicate’s out of respect, she began to turn back into the mare he had met, meek and quiet. She managed her emotions and for the first time since they last met the voice in her head ceased. She looked at the stallion, admiration filling her orbs and emotions running though her like a wild fire; what would she say? She clearly owed him an apology but if she said sorry would he storm off again? She stood speechless the going ons of the filly background noise in her head, she had known it but didn’t want to admit it and now this was where she was; stuck.
You loved me? She felt like a young filly again, the memory of sinister taunted her and teased with the thoughts to return but she kept them at bay. He would never hurt her like Sinister had, he would never do that to someone he invested so much time in, so many resources. Her tones were weak she was still hung unable to come up with any other words, her whole body still and at peace. Perhaps this is where she should leave him, she had caused enough damage here already; after all, she was just like Judas.

Syndicate
He was quiet, too quiet the only thing that one could hear was his shallow breaths. The brute was like a statue his body refused to move, to budge. He had been called out by his own child, she betrayed him in a way. Though he also knew she was the only one that was bold enough to do so. The brute, if he was a turtle would have returned to his shell to think about things. Syn would have been like a clam and just shut himself off from the world forever. Syn knew better then to care, he just knew it, he heard his daughter talking in the background, but it was like it all just rolled off, he was a ghost of his former self. He couldnt see them, he couldnt feel them he could only hear his heart beating inside of his chest, barely. She questioned him... the past tense was ... hard for him to hear. He could feel himself falling again and it ... was hard for him. The word had avoided him for years and why scandal brought it up and aphrodite repeated it.. he would never understand. Thought nothing physical had happened to the brute he hurt, and he felt weak in the moment.
Scandal's pale dagger dug wildly into the sod then as she stared at him. Why would he refuse to move refuse to answer? She shook her dome before running at him and colliding with his side. She bounced off though and had to take a few steps back and shake it off. Unsure what to do now, was the mare jealous of her and her mother? She had to question herself, but she knew he would always love her and she was not too worried about how her father would treat her from now on, but if these two made up would she treat her like family or like a problem? That was the fillies question.
The collision in his side made him take a step to the side and look down at his daughter. The contact had broken the darkness that he had fell into, and in that moment he turned his attention back to Aphrodite. He had never had to explain any type of emotion this was all new to him. He looked down for a moment and nodded his head unsure if his voice would be strong enough to answer her aloud. He took a deep breath then, and returned his eyes to his child. His stare was enough to ask the question and she nodded that she was fine. He turned back to her, "I walked away to save myself. I locked my emotions away as they should have been all along." Syn finally managed to say. "I have never had to deal with them, never had a reason to care..before." Syn admitted to more or less to himself more then anyone else. "I won't make you stay with me unless you want to, aphrodite." He said one last time.
He moved from her to look at scandal checking to see if she was alright. She smiled lightly to him and he returned one back at her, "i told you the moment you broke into my mind i would ruin your outing, my dear scandal." His words were clear and he knew that he should have maintained himself a little better, but he needed to get that out before it ate himself up. He didnt turn back to her but he spoke, "There is no past tense needed." He informed her then. Scandal turned her cranium to the side gentle watching the painted mare and at how he had basically admitted his feelings, if she broke his heart she would be just ... cold. Her little muzzle lifted up to touch his then gently. Knowing that with this there would be something she would take in from this, just unsure how to truly deal with it.

. . .A P H R O D I T E. . .
crying out for 'coup de grace'
Solemnly, the mare’s frame shook as a chill swept her spine from the newly chilled air clouds had covered the sun as it set on its nightly setting journey. Her aqua pools watched the stallion that she had grown fond of over the past year with his child, he stood quietly motionless and cold, as she rammed him in the side attempting to break whatever trance he was in. She questioned herself about if she really wanted to ask that question, what troubles it would lead to whichever way he answered, after all he couldn’t really be in love with her, could he? It felt like they had just met and no matter how well you get along with another, you never really know them until you know their past and they for sure haven’t shared that part of each other in confidence; this is what spooked the mare most about the conversations they were having now. This young filly, full of life and so ambitious would be the only way that Aphrodite and Syndicate would ever be able to speak to each other about such things; and there was a huge part of her that was thankful for her presence, well, every part of her was for that matter.
Scandal bounced off of her father’s frame, knocking her back a few steps still silent and curious about what her father was doing, a concerned look upon her face. Velvet kissers nickered to the young filly to attempt to reassure her that none of this was her fault and she and her father was going to be okay. Turning her attention back to Syndicate his frame moved, the fillies attempts had not been in vein and brought him back from the beyond. I walked away to save myself. I locked my emotions away as they should have been all along. I have never had to deal with them, never had a reason to care… Before. I won't make you stay with me unless you want to, Aphrodite. A warm feeling rushed through the mare, one that she had longed to feel ever since her parents had been taken from her before her eyes. Her entire being had changed from cold and hard to warm and welcomed; that’s all she had wanted, just to be accepted and treated like a living being. i told you the moment you broke into my mind i would ruin your outing, my dear scandal. As the mare watched him turn away from her, she could feel her heart sink into her chest; was he going to leave, again? There is no past tense needed. A warm smile cracked the mare’s mug, she watched the filly look at her and then touch her mug to her fathers. That was what Aphrodite wanted, was someone to care and she had it the entire time; she was just blind. I don’t see how joining us together is a bad thing, Syndicate. Her warm tones almost cooed to the stallion, her limbs taking small steps towards the pair stopping about a yard away, their scents filling her nairs as she longed for them to voice the invitation to join them.

Syndicate He was silent as his daughter little muzzle touched his own. Syn was taking everything from the day in. His mind was spinning unsure how to deal with his emotions, syn preferred to be emotionless. Where he did not have to deal with this, he should have listened to his father better when he tried to teach him the ways of the world. He took a deep breath bringing everything around to what it needed to be. The sound of the mare's breath behind him came into play and he just listened to the sound. A snort erupted from his nostrils as he heard her move closer to them, his eyes closed gently unable to open, just yet. She was close and he could smell her scent as it moved through his nostrils. Aph was not close enough to feel the heat from her smaller frame, instead he just felt Scandals and he opened his eyes to look at his, pride and joy. The little flicka would be forever perfect and he would make sure of such. Multi-colored visionaries stared at the dark orange swirls on her face and at her light grey orbs. A silence surrounded the four of them, it was unlike anything Syn had ever truly felt.
She broke the silence though, I don’t see how joining us together is a bad thing, Syndicate. She said then and his cranium lifted from his skull then and turned to look at her for a moment, his eyes staring into her blue ones as his brain began to tick along. So you want to go back with me? Well us. He was confused and she made his brain have to ask such questions. Syn paused and looked towards Scandal and she grinned glad that she had not turned this into a complete blood bath as she had feared she was going to just moments ago. She still believed that adults were crazed and she promised that she would never be that way. She silently missed her fog and her mother, she knew her parents would never be together and had accepted it. Scandal would not whine and complain they weren't together or ruin their other relationships, for if she did it would end up ultimately a great disaster. She would remain on her parents good side for her own personal reasons.
Scandal could not wait until she could go off without a guard that's when her life would truly begin, but for now she would go along with her parents wishes. She looked down at tribe for a moment before wandering over to him, a slight yawn fell from her lips as she moved over to him. Syn's eyes remained on Aphrodite for a moment longer before asking. Ready to go home ladies? He said with a grin on his mug. His banner flickered against his hide he knew it was time to take his daughter home. The stag was unsure what to think and what to think. He however knew that once he was home he would be able to think better. Maybe then he would be able to help figure out and fix the demons that plagued Aphrodite. Once he knew what her past was he figured he could help fix the entire thing.
