This world wasn't meant for us.

The was not what he had planned, not what he wished to accomplish.

The ivory brute moved through the lands, his mind wandering over the years. God was against him, and this time around the invisible entity was winning. RLTW was not ready for the likes of himself, and his queen, or his children. They were too powerful, too ethereal. His hulking frame had been through the war, scars healing over, pink tracing some of his body now. God had favored Nirvana in her victory before the war over him. God had favored Blythe. The ivory mogul sneered then, RLTW thought of him as a weakling now, his name fading every day. This annoyed the devil slightly, but this body had run its course. IT was just in its prime, but the decrepit soul was festering and dying to be set loose, back to its domain in Hell. The pale faced brute slowed his pace then, his cobbled eyes peering across the flat land of cocytus. Witchcrypt ruled it now, she reigned beautifully. Lucifer was right to place her as his successor. He felt no guilt, no shame at placing her even though she was not the blood spawn of his Queen...

Damask.

Lucifer inhaled deeply, his thick chest rising and falling steadily. His thick skull raised, and he let out a call for his beloved. It was then, that he moved further, and further from the reaches of Cocytus, his scent leaving a trail for Damask in the twilight. The sun was still gone, when he reached the forest. Thick feathers stepping in the cool aqua as he found a comfy grove of trees. He waited patiently for his Queen.

He wished to be alone with her one last time, to see her in a different hue than that of cocytus.

Fragments.

Her burgundy eyes were filled with them. Pieces of the soul torn away, other parts withering, the rest shattering. The heart beat in her chest; blood pulsed through her veins; strong as ever, but she was dying. The gods that reigned from the sky had seen to it that mortals had won. The King of Hell had stepped into a mortal form, taken the burgundy eyed mare as his mate and ensured her soul would live eternally with his, but his power in the mortal flesh could do more than that. She saw the way the world looked upon her king and it infuriated her. But the gods would not favor her victory over the enemies of her lord. She'd chosen her destiny when she chose him.

And she would not go back. Even as she died inside, she knew that death would lead her to a new eternity with her King. She did not die alone. She hadn't been alone since the day she'd met him. Her soul had been forged for him and reworked into his own.

The cold of the land stirred around her then and she shivered; her soul knew that fire awaited her. She didn't know how long she had left before nothing but a husk remained, but she would speak no good byes. Her sons were strong and needed nothing more from her. Her brothers lived there own lives and would continue to do so. She had no doubt that she would be remembered, even missed, but they knew enough of her to know not to mourn her.

It was then she heard the deep, basso call of her lord and her entire world came into clearer focus. She moved without hesitation; her frame shimmering almost purple in the silvery light of Cocytus. As her split hooves pressed into the soil beyond Cocytus a chill raced down her spine. She paused; burgundy eyes turning back to the barren land she'd ruled beside Lucifer for so very long now. Wicca held them now, and Damask found no resentment for that. She thought of the mare as her own daughter and had always treated her as such. She fit the land now; she was it's Queen. Damask somehow knew her eyes would never again touch the cold silver land of Cocytus again and she smiled; pride and sorrow and expectation all mingled together.

With a deep breath she turned her back upon Cocytus, upon her mortal life and followed after her eternity. Lucifer waited for her in the moonlit forest and she moved quickly toward him. She found him in a small clearing with a shallow pool and moved to his side; where she would always belong.

Her dainty form leaned against his thick barrel and she caressed his nape with her skull. [smear:88001B]"This world grows weary of us, my lord."[/smear:E54162:1] her tones like music slid into the quiet evening.

The wait was short for his tender Queen, her grace and bodice timely. He smiled as she slipped along side him, her small form pressed to him. Her lithe skull caressed his thick nape and the Hell King curled his nape around to embrace his love. Her soft voice slipped through his ears and into the quiet night, soothing his restless soul and strumming strings only she could pluck. Her words made the hellion look upon her, a gentleness in his eyes. He pressed his heavy crown to her dainty one, his thick locks falling across them and mixing into her ow bright locks. His hellish pools looking lovingly into her then as his lips parted, the bass in his voice rumbling in its low pitch, "Yes... It does, my Queen." His statement was simple, but his eyes said everything. HE had failed his Queen, his kindred, and his followers on this earth. Those that sat on ivory thrones throwing defeat, and embarrassment at his door. Lucifer growled then, his dark lips setting a kiss on the bridge of his lovers nose before he looked into the sky.

He felt his end coming, approaching quicker and quicker each passing hour. A steady shadow o his back; a thorn in his tail.. HE had caught glimpses of a brute that held an air similar but much darker than his fathers and he knew, that bastard would be his end. The pallid King would welcome this, for the dark stags soul was his in the long run. But Damask was his focus now. She was all that mattered. He looked back to the earth, his eyes slowly traveling to meet his Queen's. "I have failed you, yet again..." He spoke gently, his gaze hard "I have brought you no glory, My promises left unfulfilled and yet you gave me everything you could offer me." He paused, his lips reaching to stroke her cheek, before he pulled back. "I came into this realm again to soon. God favored the lesser evil, and still, you stand by my side. No hesitation. No question." Lucifer's skull cocked and he watched his Queen. Fire shifted through her eyes, through her veins. God had forsaken her as well once she gave herself so willingly to the Devil. "I thank you for what you have given me on this earth, for all these years."he smiled then, and once again pressed his skull against her taught body. "Forever I am yours, Damask. I promise you..." He paused, "I promise you everything. Everything you could wish for and more when our flesh dies and our souls return to Hades. Everything.."

HE nibbled on her nape, loving ad cherishing the feel of her flesh. He took a step back then, placing some distance between them. The bright moonlight hitting her perfectly. She looked flawless with the fleshy meadow behind her, and the cool spring setting idle by. She was magnificent, far more grand than any Queen he had seen before. She stood there proudly, yet completely and wholly humbled before himself. All he could do was smile and admire her.  "Your beauty still captivates me completely. I have no words to describe it." He said, taking a step to the left slowly working his way to circle her, to take her in from every angle. "Sing for me, my Queen. Sing for  your King, like you've done before." HE purred, waiting for the siren song that had first stole the Devils heart.
