HISTORICAL EQUINE

This is a list of the historical equines that have passed through RLTW. Their names no matter how long the characters have been gone; missing or dead, shall never again be used. These equines have earned their place in the history of this world. Though some of the history is forgotten the legend will at least live on in name alone, if nothing more.

Akasha
Rp'ed by Wolff aka Psychosomatic
Was Xeus' second in command for nearly his entire reign. She later served under the reign of Nightmare and soon became his Queen. She then ruled beside Medea when Nightmare disappeared from the realm. Then she ruled beside Lashiel and then became part of Deadly Dark Triad of Lashiel, Thanatos and herself. A first for RLTW; Three Dark Royals.

Archetype
Rp'ed by Flighty
Archetype was a second generation ruler of the Light kingdom after Diliculum. He was respected and loved, but feared by his enemies. When Kurai overthrew the Light Kingdom and imprisoned all Lights in Oozora, he gathered the traumatized equines together and bolstered their resolve. He headed straight into the Dark Kingdom, alone, and declared his people free to Nightmare; the king who ate Kurai. He ruled as Light King for a time before passing his throne to The Fallen when he lost his mate. Lashiel found him not long after, and when she was through with him, he was the most fearsome Dark her land had seen for generations.

Arion

A strong and brave light. Arion took the Light Throne by force from his own father and The Fallen; something unheard of among their alliance. He saw the need for a new king and would not back down from what he believed to be the right and just thing to do.

Basilisk
Rp'ed by Flighty
One of the longest reigning kings in RLTW history; his Descendants still rule his lands today. A powerful stag; once Dark King in his own right, but one of gentle heart, but seriously unlucky in love. Despite their differences he was a great friend to Pestilence and Devil's Assassin. In his later years he was among the first Unaligneds.

Devil’s Assassin

Was the first equine in RLTW to have a "demon" inside of him; a voice inside his head. This demon was known as Legion. DA was once Ruler of The Pitt, and the only King those lands ever knew for many years. His descendants still rule the domain to this day though it has lain dormant a time or two throughout the years. Also a compulsive thief; DA was enemy to both Unwritten and Premonition as well as many other leads.

FEAR
Rp'ed by Revelations
One of the founding members of The Rejects. His sheer power and grotesque nature is the thing of nightmares. His signature sickness is his desire to hear his victims sing him songs of screams of horror and pain. He lead the Reject Family for more than a decade; terrorizing the entire realm of RLTW. The age of FEAR will surely never be forgotten.

Firefly

One of the founding members of The Rejects. Firefly is certainly the most desired member of the Rejects. She is perhaps the glue that holds them all in their binds to the House as every Reject either lusts for her or respects her. Firefly was also known as "Baby" and was perhaps the only other member of the family that any and all of the Rejects would have died to protect.

Jay

Jay was a suave and charming Dark King. He was in fact so charming that he managed to convince Zero to allow him to stand with him as Dark King. The duo were the first stallions to rule together as equals. Their reign was not long, but it was fearsome. Not a single challenge was leveled against them throughout their rule.

Lashiel

Lashiel is the third generation of her family to rule the Sanctuary, descendant of both Devil's Assassin and Basilisk. She took the throne upon Medea's request when the Queen departed from the lands. Lashiel never wanted the Dark Throne but was honor bound to accept it. She ruled beside Akasha and then became part of the first Triad of Dark Royals. She was and is a well respected Dark lead. She rescinded her title to Ranjit and Adviendha whom she viewed as more worthy than herself. This move ended the reign of the Dark Triad.

Leonidas

A powerful Light king, one of the first of our memory. He created the Light Kingdom from nothing in hopes of outshining the Darkness and for a time, they did. His reign was long and bright and will perhaps never truly be forgotten.

Lucifer

A dangerous dark stallion whose name was known and feared by nearly every equine in the valley for generations and whose blood ties can be traced through countless lands. Born of a powerful Light King; The Fallen; Lucifer chose darkness and embraced the power of that darkness when he murdered his own father. He battled for the Dark Throne and lost to Nirvana, but he did not leave the battle field empty handed; he secured a position in her army and a promise that he would one day be named her successor.

Mafia

A Dark mare who brought the prison trade to RLTW; buying and selling any equine for a price. She was so powerful, and had collected so many prisoners, and loyal "friends" that she overtook a free land and made it her own private Kingdom. She was the first equine to claim such a powerful position separate from the three main kingdoms.

Nirvana

Though an outsider to the realm, this bay-brindled mare quickly made a name for herself by establishing a herd in the lands of the Darks. Ambitious though she was, Nirvana was possessed of both cunning and patience and all three of these traits paid off well when she eventually landed herself as Dark Queen. Tensions between the Light and Dark kingdoms boiled with her succession to the throne and Nirvana turned her violet eyes to dismantling the Light Kingdom. Making a treaty with the Unaligned Kingdom so as to appease them, the Dark Empress swept her army into the Light lands and demolished the Light Kingdom - thereby changing the face of Run Like the Wind forever.

Omen

When the Kingdoms began to put together an official and totally neutral land to put prisoners in, this pale beast took up the spot of the Punisher of the Outlands. He, along with the Council of the Outlands and the Guards, put forth the rules that would run it for many, many years to follow. Omen also is noted to be the first true Unaligned horse, as well as a cunning and wise leader. When he began to grow weary of his title, he passed it off willingly, rather than holding onto it until he simply could hold it no longer. This act, among others, has made him well deserving of the respect he commands in these lands.

Paralyzer

Paralyzer was a Neutral Queen from a long line of royal Neutrals. Unlike her predecessors she knew that change was needed and she refused to accept the weakness and mediocrity that had begun to define her people. In a bold move she took an Unaligned as her co-Queen and forced a radical change upon her kingdom; forever renaming them; the Unaligned in an attempt to reclaim the power of the Kingdom.

Pestilence

A powerful Dark, once ruler of Bedlam and a rival of the legendary Xeus. Pestilence was a refined, noble and gentlemanly Dark, but make no mistake he was utterly deadly as well. He was the only Dark to rival Xeus in power and respect among their alliance and surely could have taken the Kingdom at any time.

Premonition

One of the longest reigning Dark Kings in RLTW history. He decimated many challengers and inject fear into the hearts of every equine in the land. He had a softer side as the years went on. His son took the throne after him and then his grandson later, leaving a dynasty in their wake.

Relic

A beloved Light King. First Light King to form an alliance with a Dark King; Xeus. He was also himself, formerly Dark and had been feared as much as he was respected. Relic's reign as Light King was a time of peace and security and strength.

Sarwin
Rp'ed by Ranjit
Sarwin was a deadly creature. He was a carnivore; a cannibal, in fact and he was feared by many. Seeing his strength and cunning, but also his intelligence and loyalty; Lashiel invited him into the Dark Triad upon Akasha's death. He ruled with the Triad in their later years. He was a loyal beast and when Lashiel asked him to rescind his crown and remain with her; he did.

Thanatos

Son of Xeus and Demolition, was heir to the dark throne at an early age but declined it when his time came; only to become Dark King later. He asked permission for the throne, something unheard of among the Darks and became Dark King beside Akasha and Lashiel; and the Dark Triad was born.

The Fallen

A blind stag of powerful presence, he was once King of the Light Alliance; a bright and powerful beacon for his people. He affected many members of his own alliance and the others very deeply. He was killed by his own Dark son later in life, but he will surely never be forgotten, nor will his lines ever leave the land of RLTW.

Unwritten
Rp'ed by Bruja
King of Hell's Domain, the Beta herd in the Dark Kingdom for many many years. He was friend to both Xeus and Premonition, both former Dark Kings. He was powerful, but he never sought the throne that could have been his so easily. His lineage is marked by two different colored eyes. His bloodline lives on in Blackwater today; the son who murdered his own father.

Vita Cinis

The First Unaligned Queen; Daughter of FEAR and thus a cannibal by nature, though never cruel or heartless. She hunted those who were already dying and ended their suffering. She convinced the Neutral Queen Paralyzer that the only way that the Neutral alliance could be strengthened was by force. Together she and Paralyzer remade the Neutral Kingdom into the Unaligned Kingdom. When Paralyzer stepped down Vita Cinis ruled beside Aves; only to be killed by the Dark stallion; Pestilence upon his return to RLTW.

Xeus

First cannibalistic horse in RLTW. A long reigning Dark King who brought a new wave of darkness and terror to the lands with his flesh eating ways. Despite the violent nature of the beast he managed to forge an alliance with the Light King; Relic. This was perhaps the only time of true peace in the entirety of RLTW's history.

Zero
Rp'ed by Starlight
First Dark King to allow another King to rule at his side in equal power. Zero was a powerful machine that swept across RLTW and made his mark firmly and terrifyingly upon the land and its peoples. Zero's descendant will perhaps be a part of RLTW forever.

ORIGINAL UNALIGNED

The Unaligned characters got their start on RLTW when the Outlands became a thing. These were the characters who cast off all ties to alliance and could not belong to any one single alliance. The following list is comprised of the original Unaligned characters.

Basilisk
Played by the Warden
Easily considered one of the most famed equines to ever grace RLTW, Basilisk was once a Dark King to be feared. The great beast fell too easily into love though and that was to be his downfall. He left RLTW only to return as one of the original Unaligned horses.

Bjorn
Played by Ranjit
Bjorn is an entirely new sort of rogue. He holds ties only where he chooses and is roped in by no one and and no alliance. He is completely unconcerned with society and its rules and is a free-er spirit than you will ever see.

Clavicus Vile
Played by Retador
Despite having been born of a rape, Clavicus Vile did not let the trauma of his conception and birth get to him. Instead, the stallion - who possesses voices in his mind that embody the Seven Deadly Sins - got into the good books of the Unaligned Queen, Paralyzer. The pair struck up a close friendship that grew to be far more and Paralyzer soon named him to be her consort.

Cyhyraeth
Played by Revelations
Cyhyraeth was born of darkness and though her life was cruel, that cruelty never truly touched her heart. It was her love for Archetype and Omen and the powerful depth of it that gave her the courage to live in no alliance as she had always needed to.

The Harbingers

Played by Ranjit
These quadruplets, led by the brother Conquest, once served under the original Punisher of the Outlands: Omen. They have since been handed the rule of the Outlands and stand in a single unit as Punisher. It is their unity that places them as Unaligned. Each is so unique and yet so bound to the others that they could belong to no alliance.

Harlequin
Played by Dissy[DUH]
Harlequin knew from the moment of her birth that none of the alliances suited her. She thus decided to cast off all ties to the alliances and to become Unaligned, joining the ranks of many great equines.

Hoax
Played by THE WARDEN
Born of an intriguing interaction between former Dark King Thanatos and Judge Novelty; like his sister Hoax knew from the start that he was of no alliance. His allegiance is to himself and his sister and mother only. He was raised separately from his sister, but he would do anything for her and their mother.

Münfaede
Played by Ruppa
A strange mare, Munfaede holds no ties to any alliance - instead she proclaims her allegiance to be to nature in and of itself. This tie to nature places her as both good and evil, causing her hooves to firmly tread the path of the Unaligned.

Mutiny
Played by Befera
A stubborn brute, Mutiny was one of the last Unaligned to join the ranks of the Originals. He is a truly unique individual.

Omen
Played by Fallen
One of the truly original Unaligned equines, Omen stepped up the challenge of Punisher of the Outlands. The pale stallion took control of the head position of the Outlands, ruling it with a firm hand throughout his reign of it. While he is no longer Punisher, he is still respected as one of the most powerful horses of RLTW.

Novelty
Played by the Warden
Novelty wanted power the moment she was born, but she also wanted equality and peace among the races. It was she who founded the Outlands after seeing the way The Judges of the Neutral Kingdom worked. This move placed her firmly in RLTW's long history as the first Unaligned horse.

Vita Cinis
Played by The Warden
One of the Unaligned Queens and twin sister to the stallion Drekvac Cruxim, Vita Cinis's pedigree precedes her. Her father is one of the founding members of the now dispersed Reject alliance, FEAR. Vita Cinis was the mare who convinced now-Unaligned Queen Paralyzer that the time was ripe for change in the Kingdom.

REJECTS

The Rejects were a band of the most twisted minds ever known to the lands of RLTW. Their insanity and depravity formed a bond among the members that was strange;y powerful. They became a family. A sick, and demented family, but tightly bound nonetheless. They were bound by their lust for blood, for flesh and for pleasure. Each of them had their own unique tastes, but they all shared a desire for one another. Blood ties meant nothing to them when it came to choosing lovers. Days were spent hunting equines of all alliances, raiding kingdoms and herds without fear of reprisal, and nights were spent in blood-filled, screaming pleasure. They were feared by nearly all.

Despite their insanity and twisted ways the Rejects themselves were incapable of lying, they were perhaps the most honest creatures in the land. And despite the bonds between them they were also selfish creatures. Their own skin was always more important than the others. Selfish, honest, insane, twisted, terrifying, these words could never truly encompass the entirety of what they were.

After more than a decade of terror they were finally brought down from within and from without. Abigor learned to love again, and in doing so King Ranjit found his way in. He unmade the Rejects. The Dark Kingdom reclaimed them. Their home; the House of 1,000 Corpses was abandoned and the family split ways. Abigor had never intended for the bonds between them to be broken, but the damage had been done. The Rejects were no more.

Abigor was a twisted creature, favoring fillies as partners and twisting them to be exactly what he wanted them to be. He spoke only in rhymes, typically his own demented versions of nursery rhymes. His twisted lifestyle turned against him, however, and he somehow regained his heart. In doing so, he worked with Dark King Ranjit to return the Rejects to the Dark Kingdom. He betrayed them to save them.

Grotesque
Played by The Warden/Flighty
Born of Abigor and Gematria, Grotesque was raised by her father. She had no particular feelings for her mother, whom she had watched Abigor and FEAR rape when she was only a child. She had an affinity for corpses and her brightly morbid manner, she began to crawl inside them and wear them around. By the time she was full grown her musculature had adapted; bulging in strange places to accommodate her attire. She was never seen without a corpse draped over like a second skin.
