It was good to get away from his mother's teachings for a while. Recently the future Emperor's head was filling up too fast with everything he was going to need to know in order to confidently and carefully take his mother's place upon the throne. Nirvana had a tendency to take Styx to the weirdest, creepiest, and dreariest lands in all of Eleutheria, and the dappled hessian was in the mood for a brighter and calmer realm. Celestial forest was alive with color, the trees adorned with brilliant orange and red hues. The sky beyond was a bright blue, and Styx moved through the land, the crisp autumn air calming his thoughts. Leaves crackled and shifted with each step the now two-year-old stallion took, his fiery tresses matching the canopy above him. The trees here were tall, and it made the silvered stag feel smaller, but he was okay with that. He had spent so much of his life trying to convince himself that he was big and strong and fearsome, so feeling small among these massive, towering pillars was a welcome change.

He wasn't out for any reason, not like when he was younger and simply wanted to escape the confines of Obascus. The ravine was home and always would be, yes, but under Nirvana's watchful eye, it was oftentimes a heavy, almost suffocating place. Styx was very confused about where his life was going at this point: his mother pushing him to learn what she thought was the right way to lead, stress mounting day after day. There was so much pressure on him to become a good King and to become one soon. The dappled stag could feel from his mother that she was not impressed with him just yet. He hadn't proven to her that he was ready to be King. Indogo visionaries caught sight of an open clearing, glimmering with sunlight that cascaded down from the break in the canopy. Soon enough all of these leaves would be gone, and soon enough the day would come that Nirvana would have to swallow her pride and allow her son to succeed her. Thoughts whirred through the stallion's mind as he stepped into the light of the clearing, feeling the sun's warmth upon his greyed pelt.

"Styx, is it?" The vocals came from a patch of grass, a few meters away from the stag, where the brindled ess lay, in the sun. Usually Witchcrypt did not like being in such a vulnerable position or even out of her icy land. The cold was her home and being out here in the sweltering sun was not one of her past times, but the chill of winter was on the prowl and had made basking in the sun a bit more bearable. She had not intended on meeting the future king of Imperium, she hadn't intended on meeting anyone out here in the Celestial Forest. Her dark harks flickered as flies danced around the sensitive hairs, vermilion optics watching the dappled son closely. Witchcrypt wondered if he had adopted his mother's thoughts about the leadess of Cocytus. She would hope not, Witchcrypt didn't exactly want to make enemies with the young prince, she had nothing against him personally. Even if he came from the loins of a mare that had no ounce of respect. Witchcrypt sighed softly, a content sound as she shifted her position to a more comfortable one, her legs folded beneath her. "You know who I am, I'm sure your mother has warned you about me." She said, her voice was dark and sly but held no malice, the voice of a dark heart. She studied the colt for a while before turning her skull and looking out over the tall grass. The sun shown down, bright and yellow, and the blue sky was a perfect compliment to it, beating down upon the dying grass. The grass still held onto life, green all around, though a few strands were dying off, almost like the hairs of an old equine. Many struggling to hold onto their pigment, while others withered away. She smiled slightly, bringing her black skull back to Styx. "You can lay down if you like, enjoy the sun with me. I won't bite...I promise." She said the last words with a bit of humorous hesitation, but said them softly and with a motherly smile. Her tag flickered as she waited for his response, she could only wonder what Nirvana had told the poor boy, and if the dappled prince already held hate for her in his heart. It would only be expected. She just hoped the child did not say anything rash, because quite frankly, Wicca was in a good mood today and had no malice in her mind. She just wanted to relax and she would be damned if this colt ruined it for her.

The sudden break in the forest's serene silence was a bit startling to the dappled stag. He jerked his skull toward the voice, fire-kissed tresses thrashing every-which-way. The creature before him seemed docile and calm, a striped mare lying in the grass, so he relaxed. She knew his name, which the brute found strange at first, but he remembered that he was, after all, the heir to the Imperium throne. It's only natural that most every Imperium would know of him. She spoke again, but Styx's mind went blank. He didn't know who she was. His mother hadn't mentioned anything about someone he needed to avoid or be worried about. Little did Styx know, but Nirvana had done this on purpose. She knew that if she told Styx to watch out for a mare called Witchcrypt that he would undoubtedly be on the lookout for her, wondering why she was so dangerous. Nirvana would have led her son right to the bitch she didn't want him to lay eyes on much less talk to. What she didn't think of, however, was the possibility that the two would meet outside of Imperium's borders. The brindled hellion offered a place beside her for Styx to lie, and though the brute did find it tempting, he wanted to know just who this mare was that his mother was supposed to warn him about.

The fire-tressed bronc spoke, his tones calm but stoic. "Sorry, but my mother hasn't told me about you. Though your offer is tempting, miss, I have a few questions to ask." His words came out a bit harsher than he had intended, but he was a bit nervous before this beauty of a mare laid out in the sun before him. She was far too old for him, yes, but her appearance was pleasing to the young brute. Her crimson eyes were alluring, though sharp and hardened from a clearly troubled and harsh life. After a short pause had spread between them and Styx was sure that he had her full attention, he asked, "Firstly, who are you exactly?" What he really wanted to ask was how she knew his mother, but he was sure that anyone worth anything knew Nirvana or at least knew of her. The dappled hesian stood silent, looking the ebonite-hooded femme in her piercing blood-stained occulars, waiting for her response.
